Patch's Isle of Wight Trips: Gigglepigs March 2026

I was so happy to return to help my friends at Gigglepigs again! This time I stayed for longer and I was able to do two pig shops - buying them a wheek’s worth of vegetables when I arrived and then the next wheek’s vegetables just before I left!

I really enjoyed my trips to Aldi because going to Aldi is one of my favourite things to do and the only thing that makes it even more exciting is getting to go with my wonderful friends Tara and Ian from Gigglepigs!!

I am always so proud to help my friends and so happy to see piggies I know and am particularly good friends with, especially Pumpkin, Walter and Wilbur!

I would like to introduce some of my friends from Gigglepigs and tell their stories. It’s so important that humans know the kinds of reasons piggies end up in rescues and the often horrific and terrifying circumstances which they are escaping.

Patch's Isle of Wight Trips: Gigglepigs November 2025

Before I started my charity, I visited Gigglepigs Sanctuary on the Isle of Wight. I’d been sending them supplies and helping to cover the cost of vet bills for the piggies there since I was a baby! I’d been doing my best to help Gigglepigs for a long time and I was absolutely over the moon to be made their ambassador! It was my first trip to Giggelpigs, where I saw how hard Tara and Ian worked to look after 160 piggies, when I realised that I wanted to do even more to help them! I held my 4th birthday party as a fundraiser for them and that was what made me realise that I could do even more by starting my own registered charity. That was how Patch’s Piggy Trust came into being!

In November 2025, I visited to help my rescue friends! Whilst I was there, I bought a wheek’s worth of fresh food for everybody and helped Tara and Ian with looking after everyone! During my visit, I also filmed footage of for my Pigmas Campaign video! I really wanted humans to see what hard work it is running a rescue, how much is involved and really understand the challenges rescues face.

I had a wonderful time with my piggy friends and seeing Tara and Ian, who I love very much. When I leave for the ferry I am always so sad to say goodbye, but as we always say to each other, “it’s just goodbye for now!”

Lots of love, Patch Xxx

Patch Delivering Pigmas Food to Rescues

Friends! I would like to tell you about my Pigmas Campaign 2025, where I delivered bags of food to rescue friends in the East Midlands! In the run up to Pigmas, many supermarkets put vegetables, such as carrots and sprouts on sale at as little as 5p a bag! When you think about it, that’s a lot of piggy food somebody could buy for a pound, or even for 20p!

I wanted to take the opportunity to help rescue piggies as much as possible, especially given that the sale prices meant donations could stretch so much further! I ran a fundraising campaign, asking humans to donate to help me buy vegetables for rescue piggies. My human trustees very kindly offered to double all the donations, to make the generous donations we received from the public go even further!

I really enjoyed going round Aldi to buy the vegetables! It’s unusual for a piggy to enjoy going out, but I almost cannot contain my excitement when I’m in a vegetable aisle, but despite this, I’ve always just known that I can’t eat anything in the trolley until we’ve been to the till to pay for it!

I personally delivered around £240 of food to four rescues;
Honeybunnies, who have around 20 piggies and 20 bunnies,

Neville’s Nest, who have around 30 piggies,

Little Garden Farm, who have around 30 piggies, and

Mansfield Guinea Pig Rescue, who have around 70 piggies!

It was wonderful meeting the hard working, devoted humans who run the rescues and look after the piggies. I was so pleased to have been able to deliver one wheek’s worth of fresh foods to 4 rescues, making sure the piggies had plenty of food over Pigmas! I even put in a few packets of herbs for each rescue, to make sure that the piggies got something extra special for their Pigmas dinners!

Thank you to all of the humans who so kindly and so generously donated! I could not do what I do without your help!

Lots of love, Patch Xxx
