New Staff Member!

Patch’s Piggy Trust welcomes new staff member Mallow, who joins us from Gigglepigs Sanctuary on the Isle of Wight!

“Hello everybody, I’m Mallow! I’m 2 and I’ve come to live with Patch’s family and am extremely proud to be working for Patch’s Piggy Trust. Patch’s charity means a lot to me because I was helped by it. I was very well looked after and loved by Tara and Ian at Gigglepigs, but my story didn’t start out so well.

When we were with the first human family, me and my two sisters (who I don’t get on with) were crammed into a tiny hutch in a garden. We were frightened and very unhappy. We were then passed on to a different human family who kept us in a tiny cage in a shed. It was a horrible time and it was a relief when they got bored with us and handed us in at the rescue.

I became well fed, safe, properly taken care of and I didn’t have to live with my sisters and us be arguing anymore. I met Patch 3 times when she visited us at Gigglepigs to help us on behalf of her charity. She’s very kind and she brought us food and paid for medical treatment for a lot of my friends. I’d already done some work for Patch’s Piggy Trust because I was in the Pigmas 2025 campaign video.

When Tara and Ian said it would be ok for me to go and live with Patch and Immy I was so happy! I really liked them and Tara said it was ok for me to go because I would get far more love and attention than she could give me. I know she loves me, but she has over a hundred other piggies to look after.

I travelled to the mainland by ferry and I am so happy in my new home! I have a lovely house, lots of space, a fleece toadstool bed to sleep in and red pepper (my favourite food) every day!

Like many of my friends at Gigglepigs, Patch helped us through her charity so much and for me it is an honour to represent her charity.

Patch’s Piggy Trust helped me when I was down on my luck and now I have a wonderful life and “forever home,” I want to help other piggies in need because I remember what it was like to need help.

Love Mallow X”
